Why should I bother staging my home?

Staging your house can get you on your way faster and with more money in your pocket — and the research backs that up!

How is this home staging course different from other courses?

Our course is designed specifically with you, the HOMEOWNER, in mind! We know that while many home sellers understand the value of great home presentation, not everyone has access to professional home staging — maybe you live in a small town or perhaps your work schedule makes it challenging to schedule an in-person consultation. Or maybe you’re just excited to learn the process for yourself!

While real estate professionals and novice home stagers are welcome to enroll and will learn lots of valuable information, this course is not intended to be a training course for aspiring home staging professionals and does not provide any accreditation or CE credits.

How will I access the course?
  1. First, you’ll need to enroll. You’ll create a login name and password when you purchase the course.
  2. Immediately after purchase, you’ll be able to download two PDFs: instructions on How to Access the Course and our 26-page course workbook, Easy DIY Home Staging for Home Sellers: Workbook. You’ll also receive an email with access to these downloads as well (check your Spam folder if you don’t see it).
  3. Then, using the login name and password you created during enrollment, you’ll simply log in to your Course Account, then visit the Course Home Page to begin the course!
Is this course 100% online?

Yes! Complete each lesson on your own time and at your own pace. You have the ability to go back and review any material you’ve already covered for up to one year after enrollment.

How long will it take me to get through the course?

This is a self-paced course, so you can take it as quickly or slowly as you like! It’s a lot of valuable material, so you won’t want to rush. We recommend going through the entire course first to get a good mental overview of the home staging process (which takes a couple of hours), and then going back to review individual lessons as you need them. You’ll have access to the course materials for a full year!

The course is divided into four modules covering home buyer psychology, making necessary home repairs and updates, room-by-room guidance, putting everything together, and what happens after listing. You can see a copy of the course outline here.

I’m not 100% confident in my abilities. Can you review my staging work or provide feedback after I stage my house?

Sometimes after completing a consultation, our clients will ask us to come back for a little “fine-tuning.” This is a quick visit, usually about an hour or so, after the client has prepared the home and prior to photo shoot day. During this meeting, we review staging and make suggestions on anything we think you might still be able to adjust or improve for photos (nothing beats having an objective, third-party professional give you a little feedback and encouragement). We’re happy to offer this service online to our DIY students as well at an EXCLUSIVE student price upon completion of the course!
